Promoting responsibly: what you can and cannot say

5 Sept 2026Kira programme team

The rules that keep your account — and the programme — on the right side of advertising standards.

Affiliates are responsible for their own promotional material. These rules are not optional, and breaking them is the most common reason an account is closed.

Never do these

  • Target minors. No promotion on platforms, channels or content aimed at under-18s.
  • Promise outcomes. No "guaranteed", "risk-free", or "can't lose" claims of any kind.
  • Imply financial necessity. Nothing framing this as a way to clear debt, pay bills, or solve money problems.
  • Use our brand in paid search. Bidding on the brand name is prohibited and is detected automatically.
  • Spam. No unsolicited messages, no scraped contact lists, no bulk DMs.

Always do these

  • Disclose the relationship. A clear, visible statement that you earn commission — not buried in a bio or hidden behind a link.
  • State the age restriction. 18+ on every piece of promotional material.
  • Use approved assets. Banners and copy from the affiliate dashboard have been through compliance review. Modified versions have not.
  • Keep figures accurate. If an incentive changes, update your material. Stale numbers are treated as misleading claims.

Social platform rules still apply

Platform policies are stricter than ours in places, and they enforce independently. A post that satisfies this page can still get your account removed by the platform itself. Check the rules for wherever you are posting.

If you are unsure

Send the draft to the programme team before publishing. Pre-approval takes a day or two; a compliance breach takes your account.
